Allowlisting for Document Crunch

Last updated: January 5, 2026

Background

To ensure uninterrupted access to Document Crunch and reliable delivery of system emails, your IT team may need to whitelist (allowlist) certain domains, IPs, and email senders. This article outlines everything required for both application access and email delivery.

Application & Network Whitelisting

Some Document Crunch features, including Chat, rely on persistent connections and external services. Please ensure the following are allowed through your firewall, proxy, or network security tools.

Domains & URLs

Allow traffic to:

  • documentcrunch.com

  • support.documentcrunch.com

  • graph.usepylon.com

  • posthog-proxy.usepylon.com

IP Address

  • 159.183.87.93

WebSocket Connection

The Chat feature requires WebSocket access:

  • wss://svc-gpt.documentcrunch.com/ws

Note: Some security tools block WebSockets by default. If Chat is unavailable after whitelisting domains and IPs, confirm that WebSocket traffic is not being filtered.

Email Whitelisting (Safely Receiving Emails)

Document Crunch sends important notifications such as job updates, alerts, and account communications. To prevent these messages from being marked as spam or quarantined, allow emails from:

Sending Domain

  • @documentcrunch.com

Common From Addresses

  • noreply@documentcrunch.com

  • customercare@documentcrunch.com

Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online

  1. Go to Exchange Admin Center → Mail Flow → Rules

  2. Create a rule to:

    • Apply to emails from @documentcrunch.com

    • Bypass spam filtering

    • Set Spam Confidence Level (SCL) to -1

  3. Add documentcrunch.com to your Safe Senders / Allowed Domains list

Google Workspace (Gmail)

  1. Open Admin Console → Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail

  2. Under Spam, Phishing, and Malware:

    • Add documentcrunch.com to the allowlist

  3. (Optional but recommended)

    • Create a compliance rule to bypass spam filtering for messages from documentcrunch.com

    • Mark the domain as a trusted sender

Verification & Troubleshooting

After whitelisting is complete:

  • Send a test email

  • Confirm delivery to the inbox (not Spam/Junk)

  • Review email logs if messages are missing

If issues persist, check for conflicting rules or advanced security tools that may override allowlists.
