Usage and ROI Dashboards
Last updated: September 18, 2025
Background
Document Crunch has released new dashboards that provide visibility into product adoption and quantifiable return on investment (ROI). These powerful tools help champions drive best practices with concrete data and transform anecdotal success stories into measurable business value.
The dashboards include a Usage Dashboard for monitoring adoption across teams and projects, plus ROI Dashboards that quantify direct time and cost savings. While these metrics show only conservative, direct savings, they provide concrete evidence of value.
Things to Consider
• Access is limited to Team Admins only
• ROI calculations are intentionally conservative - the dashboards show only direct time savings, but the real value is many times higher when you factor in prevented disputes, reduced rework, and avoided litigation
• Historical data varies by metric - some metrics may have limited historical data availability depending on when features were implemented
Steps
Accessing the Dashboards
Navigate to the dashboard by clicking the gear icon in the top right hand corner
Select "Usage and ROI Dashboard" from the dropdown menu
Usage Dashboard (Tab 1) - Monitor Adoption
Set your analysis parameters:
Select your desired time period for analysis using the date range picker
Choose scope: individual team view or entire company overview
Review adoption metrics to understand current utilization:
Total users logging into Document Crunch
Users actively crunching documents (categorized by contract review, spec review, playbooks)
Users creating checklists and building playbooks
Users engaging with the chat feature
Analyze trends and performance:

ROI - Hours Saved (Tab 2) - Quantify Time Impact
Review default assumptions or customize hours saved per activity type to match your specific operations
Analyze time savings to see total hours returned to your team for higher-value work
Understand capacity impact - translate hours saved into capacity for additional projects or strategic work
ROI - Direct Value (Tab 3) - Calculate Financial Impact
Customize dollar values per activity type based on your specific labor rates and billing structures
Review financial impact to see direct cost savings from increased efficiency
Prepare stakeholder communications using concrete dollar values for budget discussions and renewal justifications
ROI - Assumptions (Tab 4) - Understand the Methodology
Review detailed methodology to understand how Document Crunch calculates time and cost savings
Examine activity breakdowns comparing traditional manual approach vs. Document Crunch approach for each activity type
Build confidence in the data using transparent calculations to support ROI discussions with leadership and validate business case
ROI - Contract Period (Tab 5) - Track Current Value
Monitor contract-to-date metrics to view cumulative hours and dollars saved since your last renewal
Track ROI progression to see how value accumulates throughout your contract term
Prepare for renewal discussions using contract-specific metrics to demonstrate value achieved and project future savings potential
Note: Remember that these calculations represent only direct, measurable savings. The total value includes significant additional benefits like dispute prevention (each prevented dispute can save 100-500 hours), improved compliance (AI-powered review catches 3x more issues than manual review), and reduced rework - but these aren't included in the conservative ROI calculations.
