Document Crunch operates in the following Procore project tools: Directory, Correspondence, RFI’s, Submittals, Observations, Schedule, Prime Contracts, Budget, Commitments, and Change Events. How to access the Document Crunch side panel in Procore varies from tool to tool, and this article will inform you on how you can find that window in each instance.
Things to Consider
• To access the side panel, users will need to have access to both Procore AND Document Crunch
• To see the side panel within a specific tool, users will need to have permissions to that tool inside of Procore
• The Document Crunch side panel does not appear in the Home tool - users should navigate to one of the supported tools listed below to access the side panel
Steps
The following details highlight each tool in Procore that connects to Document Crunch and the specific locations where the side panel appears:
Directory: Click Edit next to any user's name in the project-level Directory
Correspondence: Click on the subject title of any correspondence item
RFIs: Click View next to any existing RFI item
Submittals: Select View next to any individual Submittal item (note: the panel does not appear within submittal packages)
Observations: Appears in main tool page
Schedule: Appears on the main landing page for the tool (does not appear within individual task details)
Prime Contracts: Only appears on PCO and PCCO item pages (does not appear in general prime contract details, CORs, invoices, payments received, emails, or financial markup sections)
Budget: Appears on the main landing page for the tool
Commitments: Appears in multiple locations including:
General commitment details
Subcontractor SOV
Change orders list view
Change order detail view
RFQs
Invoices list view
Payments issued
Emails
Note: Does not appear in invoice detail view
